The Persistence of Thought- My introduction.

Who I Am and Why I Write

Hi! I’m Shashank.

Have you ever felt certain about your path, only to realize later that your curiosity was leading you elsewhere? I’ve felt that—many times. For years, I was convinced I had found my calling, only to discover that my interests stretched far beyond a single discipline.

I’m from Hyderabad, and I studied Mechanical Engineering, thinking I would become an engineer. But at different points in my life, I’ve wanted to be a doctor, an entrepreneur, a physicist, a politician, an independent journalist, and more. After an eternity of procrastination, I finally embraced my curiosity through writing—sharing my thoughts on things I find peculiar, significant, or worth discussing.

This blog is my platform to explore those ideas, and I invite you to join me. Feel free to share your insights (or gyaan) in the comments.

Understanding My Perspective

To engage with my work, understanding my ideological standpoint is essential. I am a Rationalist, and optimistic pragmatism is one of my defining traits. I see everything—people, events, and decisions—as interconnected reactions shaped by political, social, and economic forces over time.

When things go right or wrong, I don’t credit luck or blame karma—I analyze whether it was a good or bad approach. Could something have been done differently? Could a better decision have been made? I believe in continuous refinement, but since I can’t sit on a piece forever, I research, write, and publish with the time and effort available. My work might be subject to correction or scrutiny, and I welcome it. I aim to write with full conviction, undeterred by the possibility of being wrong.

What This Blog Will Explore

I explore complex social, political, and technological issues through research-driven writing. My articles aim to challenge perspectives, ignite discussions, and present well-rounded arguments on matters that shape society.

To enhance my writing process, I use AI tools like ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini—not as content generators, but as assistants for refining structure, testing arguments, and improving clarity. Every article is a product of my own research, critical thinking, and effort. AI serves as a tool, but the thoughts and conclusions are entirely my own.

The Standard I Strive For

A wise man once said that an idea must be politically acceptable, socially desirable, technologically feasible, financially viable, administratively doable, judicially tenable, emotionally relatable, and environmentally sustainable. That’s the standard I strive for in my writing.

This blog is my attempt to explore such ideas—offering perspectives that resonate, challenge, or spark debate in a world that’s constantly evolving. I believe in the power of discussion, and I encourage you to engage, share your insights, and challenge ideas. Because meaningful conversations drive real change.

Let’s dive in.
