The Lens Shift

  A Prologue to my future blogs. In a world saturated with information, beliefs, and opinions, our perspectives often become deeply ingrained, like a fixed lens through which we interpret reality. But what if the clarity of our vision is blurred by preconceived notions, personal biases, or cultural conditioning? Just as a slight shift in a camera lens can completely alter the frame, a small adjustment in how we view the world can bring new clarity to complex issues, opening our minds to possibilities we once dismissed. The idea of a "lens shift" challenge us to reexamine what we think we know, especially when it comes to the most fundamental truths that shape our lives. The concept of truth itself is a powerful example—often divided between what is perceived and what is absolute. Perceived truth is subjective, shaped by personal experiences, emotions, and external influences. The absolute truth, however, is universal, independent of individual perspectives. Who I Am and Why I Write Hi! I’m Shashank. Have you ever felt certain about your path, only to realize later that your curiosity was leading you elsewhere? I’ve felt that—many times. For years, I was convinced I had found my calling, only to discover that my interests stretched far beyond a single discipline. I’m from Hyderabad, and I studied Mechanical Engineering, thinking I would become an engineer. But at different points in my life, I’ve wanted to be a doctor, an entrepreneur, a physicist, a politician, an independent journalist, and more. After an eternity of procrastination, I finally embraced my curiosity through writing—sharing my thoughts on things I find peculiar, significant, or worth discussing.
